Time to get your team together!

The Nestlé GOLDEN CHEF’S HAT AWARD is back with a prize worth $15,000 to help kick-start you and your teammates culinary career. The winning team will be headed to Vietnam for a once in a lifetime culinary prize trip.

You’ll be cooking from the get-go with the opportunity to benchmark your skills against your peers. Plus, you’ll have the chance to be mentored by culinary instructors and given access to a national network of professional chefs.

So get your team together and give-it-a-go! Registrations close Friday 12th May 2017.

Entry is for teams of two who are Australian residents working in the culinary industry and aged between 16 and under 25 on 30.09.17. Regional Cook-offs occur in June and July 2017. National Cook-off to be held in Sydney in September 2017. Read full terms at


Step 1

Find a cooking buddy and get your team together. You will both need to:
a) Fill out an entry form
b) Tell us why you deserve to win the Nestlé GOLDEN CHEF'S HAT AWARD

Step 2

If successful, your team will compete in the Regional or Metro Cook-offs (depending on where you live) and prepare a two-course meal. If successful in the Regional or Metro Cook-off, you could be one of ten teams to go on to compete in the National Final.

Step 3

At the National Final there will be one last three-course cook-off with one ultimate winning team taking out the awesome $15,000 prize.

Entry open to those who are currently in the culinary profession and aged between 16 and 25.
