For 56 years, we’ve given young chefs the opportunity to kick start their careers in the Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat Award.
The culinary competition provides a platform for emerging talent to benchmark themselves against their peers, learn from leading industry experts and experience the opportunity of a life time.
Regional Finals are off and running
We’re back to live chef-to-chef cook-offs for 2021, giving young talent the opportunity to showcase their cooking skills and be rated against their peers.
Regional Cook-offs have begun, with 12 culinary heats being held across Australia and New Zealand, in June and July.
From the regional heats, twelve grand finalist chefs will go forward to compete in the ultimate culinary showdown at Fine Food Australia, this September in Sydney, with one winner taking out Golden Chef of the Year and a $10,000 cash prize.
Entry Phase Video Winners
As part of this year's entry process, chefs were able to create a video to showcase their skills and personality, ahead of the regional finals.
We had some amazing video submissions from six chefs who landed themselves a $250 cash equivalent gift card.
